After reading all the stuff in this group I was wondering what I had let myself in for, as I had GP3 on order. Well, it arrived today, and all-in-all I am pleased with it. Some observations: - GP3 doesn't feel as good as GPL. Not sure why, probably the 'physics engine' isn't quite as good making it feel a little less like you are really driving a car. - Graphics are pretty good. Not mega, but very good. - I had a bit of trouble getting my MS FF wheel to work properly. Thanks to a private individual (Chris Blaylock - thanks very much Chris) it's sorted now, but I think Hasbro should have done it. We aren't talking obscure kit here, are we? - My PII/400, Matrox G200/8Mb seems to run it quite well. If there hadn't been any hype around re. GP3 I think it would have been accepted as a pretty good F1 game. As it is, people were expecting the ultimate F1 experience and didn't get it, hence a lot of complaints. I am pleased to have my copy of GP3. John
GP3 doesn't feel as good as GPL? Really?? ;-) Nothing ever will IMO, not just because of the physics but because of the cars it's based on, if I was looking for something to feel better than GPL, I wouldn't be looking anymore.... -- Tim, [email hidden]|[email hidden] http://legends.sports-gaming.com/forums.shtml FREE forums for your league... http://legends.sports-gaming.com Sim racing website loosely based on gpl... He *did* say some bad things: GP3 doesn't feel as good as GPL Graphics aren't 'mega', but very good(ok, that's a stretch<g>) He had trouble with his MSFF wheel at first. It wasn't a slamfest, but it wasn't all glowing, either. :) Eldred -- Tiger Stadium R.I.P. 1912-1999 Homepage - http://www.umich.edu/~epickett GPL hcp. +51.95 Never argue with an idiot. I notice noone replies with flames to this? If it was someone saying anything bad you'd of all followed him like lemmings whether you'd even played it or not. I'm happy to have gp3 in my collection too. -- Tim, [email hidden]|[email hidden] http://legends.sports-gaming.com/forums.shtml FREE forums for your league... http://legends.sports-gaming.com Sim racing website loosely based on gpl...
