Absolutely - the sheer quality of some of the things put out by (for
example) the GPLEA is incredible. If Solitude was included in a full-

I don't know if it's been said before, but I"ll definetly say it. A
VERY BIG THANKS!! goes out to Alison Hine, Dave Noonan, the folks at
GPLEA/GPLSF, and the myriad of other people out there (whom I apologize for
not listing directly) who spend a great deal of their time and effort to
provide us (the basic end user) with a multitude of cars, set-ups, tracks
and many other "tweaks".
I for one DEFINETLY APPRECIATE it 100%!!!!!!!! You guys have made a
great game even so much better. In fact, it's because of you folks that
something as fantastic as GPL gets EVEN BETTER with age!!!!!!!!!!!

Can I add my own thank you to Riccardo Nunnini for his set-ups and Uwe
Sch�rkamp (et al?) for the wonderful GPLRank, and an honourable mention for
the many contributors (wise, amusing, and others) to this ng for their
continuous stream of help.

I was just about to post a message like this myself...and it is NOT off
topic!!!!!
I realised last night after I installed the latest GPLSF Eagle cockpit that
it is very difficult to find anything in my GPL installation that is still
original! The guts are still 100% Papy, but just about every detail has
been IMPROVED upon in subtle and not so subtle ways by the dedicated and
talented fans here amongst us lucky r.a.s. contributors.
Alison Hine/GRE - based set-ups
Track graphics
new engine sounds
cockpits and dashes from GPLEA and GPLSF
new tracks from Noonan and GPLEA
about a zillion tweaking tips for FFB steering settings, graphics settings,
sound settings, etc.
I can't even imagine playing GPL out of the box!

If the 1.2 patch is thrown in too ? Try it and be surprised. GPL holds
its own very well. Of course, all the great add ons is a huge bonus.

It's kinda funny...when we started this it was just for our own enjoyment,
but that only goes so far and soon enough you want to "spread the joy
around"......sure it's work but I couldn't imagine keeping something like
the work we do to myself and not sharing it with everyone.
