Unfortunately this is a graphics bug carried over from GP2. You'd have
thought that the first thing they did before adding features would be to
remove the bugs, but apparently that is not so.
I doubt the official patch (rumored) will fix this either. I think that'll
only fix hardware issues.

Your mouse has moved. Windows must be restarted for the change
to take effect. Reboot now?

That may fix some of the bugs...

I had already downloaded and installed latest drivers from 3dfx.com. I tried
the ones on the CD as suggested.
Still got the same problem however.
My card is Voodoo 3 3500 TV.
(By the way does GPL run sweeet with 3dfx or what!!!!....very nice)
([B) <- Me with me sixties piss-pot helmet and goggles on doing GPL and

Back to GP3 however.
([;] <- Me with me helmet on doing GP3 (one eye closed cos me polys are
missing down the right hand side of the road.)
There are a few interesting features that might provide some clues to the
nature of the
problem. First of all, the poly's only drop out when the car is facing in
certain directions.
On certain sections of the tracks it is OK, then, as you go around the
corner they drop out.
Secondly, when its raining (in the game...not IRL) the wet surface of the
track is OK in all directions,
but you can see that the track underneath still has missing polys although
they are obscured by the wet surface drawn on
top.
When I find my CD with paint shop pro on it I'll try and get a pic for you
techies to ponder.
Once again thanks for all the tips.
