Watch for WSC I believe this is the one that will "knock Grand Prix Legends
from its little throne".

I hope so. I'm part of the "I love GPL but really look forward to something
better" crowd. The only racing games I have loaded right now are GPL, SCGT,
and NFSPU, and I'd love to find something else that'll occupy my time.
Besides, maybe then you lot will be distracted enough that I can claw my way
up a bit higher on GPLRank. :)

I never did care for F1 games before. Rallying and touring cars was my
thing. Rallying is hotlapping, touring cars are close combat.
In GPL I found both.
Bye, bye, social life.
Then I discovered Vroc.
Bye, bye, the rest of my life.
Damned, what a game!
My phone bill has rocketed. The last one was at in excess of 4000 nkr, or
nearly 400 or $500.You know what? It is worth it. Huge fun.
Trouble is: I get annoyed when the phone rings, or there is someone knocking
at my door. That is a warning sign: I'm addicted.
My father died recently. What did a do? I cried a few tears. Then, the same
day, I downloaded Imola. Great fun.
The expectations for RC2000, F12000, GP3 has been sky high. None of them has
threatened GPL as the sim of my choice. WSC will probably be no threat,
either.
Is there anything to improve in GPL? Weather, graphics and options. That's
all.
Will there ever be a company that will provide GPL physichs with up-to-date
weather, graphics and options? No. No responsible company will invest huge
amounts of money to develop a game that less than 10.000 people will
appreciate.
You know what? I'm happy about it. That way the GPL community will live for
sevral years to come.
GPL needs a re-launch. Bundle it with LWFF, MSFF or any other FF wheel,
along with the D3D patch and 1.2 patch as soon as possible. The game
deserves a wider audience. Bundling will provide that.
This posting was written in gratitude for the developers of GPL, and for
people lik Dave Noonan and others that produces add-ons.

Yes, but my guess is that it might not be as bad as it sounds.
My experience is that you don't act completely rational in
that kind of situation, and some things you say may very well
sound terrible.
Hmm, to heavy for ras maybe.

Depends on your relationship with your father. Some parents are more valuable than others.
But in this case I think it might just have been a poor turn of phrase. At times of grief finding something
to take you completely away from the situation is hardly rare... many turn to drink.
While I'm fortunate not to have lost a parent yet, there have been several occasions in the last few years
where I've turned to GPL to occupy my mind completely and stop me disappearing up my own mental
ass.
A therapist might be more sensible in the long term, but GPL's cheaper ;-)

Andrew if ever the chance arises I would like to buy you several or
more drinks. If you promise to teach me where you come up with this
stuff....I have been reading your stuff from Flanker on and its
getting even funnier...
"disappearing up my own mental
ass"....shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit...impressive.

I see someone came back from vacation in a good mood <g>
Now go download Solitude. It'll do your GPLR score no good, but it'll make you
grin, I can guarantee that.
Andrew McP
Yup Solitude is mindblowing........so is Goodwood....so is Road
Atlanta....so is Imola...geez..I spent the money to refurbish my
Joystick collection (FLCS big bucks/CH Pro Throttle) and I havent even
programmed either one cause I havent been playing Flight sims...only
EECH has a chance of competing against the brilliance of GPL.
The following people have a free bar tab should I ever meet them..
The entire team of GPL
Alison Hine
Nate Hine
Dave Noonan
The Entire GPLEA crew team
and several others that I would slap my head and buy them drinks if
they were introduced.....sorry for the name slippage...
Amazing....2 years and it doesnt look like its getting anything but
even better. Thereby reaffirming my long held belief that Grand Prix
Legends stands head and shoulders above any other simulation in any
other genre much less just Auto's....Goddamn Brilliant.

Same here... 3 months now and counting. If I wasn't enjoying myself so much I'd
be worried! EECH is occasionally tempting... it's just not as tempting as VROC
<g>.

I have to agree- EECH has been my non-GPL sim of choice lately.
