Try going into 3dfx tools (display properties advanced) and in the
glide options, limit texture to 2MB...
If i dont do this when i run GPL my textures are totally screwed up.
You could try the new d3d patch though, and stop using glide.

Hi
I have just upgraded my video card from an aged TNT 2 to a Voodoo3 3000 AGP
card. GPL now runs much better but occasionally the textures become corrupt.
This does not happen everytime I play it but when it does it is usually
after I exit a track and then go to another track. I have tried various
drivers and am currently using V1.02.11 which had been recommended, but this
still does not cure the problem.
Any ideas or solutions ?
TIA
Andy
p.s. Does anyone know what files I have to delete to completely remove the
voodoo drivers so I can install from scratch?
Errrrrr
woah u getting some strange advice here my friend.
I use V3 3000 with GPL with NO problems whatsoever.
I am using the latest beta drivers from 3dfxgamers.com, and Dx7a. Have u
removed ALL references to the TNT2 from your system both files and reg entries?
Also, i would recommend a removal of gpl and reinstal it.

Try GPL Patch 1.2 + current Voodoo 3 drivers (4.05.00, from
www.3dfxgamers.com). Did you switch GPL to Glide mode when you
replaced the TNT2?

The unpatched GPL
would give texture corruption above 800x600. Limit textures to 2mb
solved it. The 1.2 patch for gpl includes a new rasterizer which also
solves it and makes the 2mb thing unnecessary.

No need to do that after upgrading to the latest Voodoo drivers (4.05.00
here) and GPL v1.2.

Please see above :)

I tried that w/ my V3 2000 but the image quality AND frame rate are so much
better w/ Glide ...
