This game looks absolutely fantastic at 1600x1200, no more jaggies. But my
system (PIII 450@600, Voodoo3 3500, 256MB RAM) just can't take it. I get
like 15 - 25 FPS. If I upgrade to PIII 700@1GHz, will I see a huge
difference, or is the game fill rate limited meaning I should upgrade my
Video card instead?
I think your voodoo 3 is to slow for 1600x1200, a Geforce 2 !!! (the newest
version alias GTS) is needed for such a resolution, and then the cpu will be
the limmited factor, but you will gain more when going to a geforce 2 then
to a 1GHz with a voodoo 3.
I'm running a C366@550 with a geforce SDR (the slow vesion) in 1024x768x32
with a usable framerate, 1280x1024 seems to be to much (for the SDR
version).
