Did you download the OpenGL patch? If not get it at www.papy.com. GPL is my favorite racing sim since it's come out but I have always struggled with modest frame rates until I could get a new computer. Finally I went crazy and went for a Dell 1Gig. With visions of finally having maxed frame rates I was devastated to find that GPL will not recognize my video card (64MB DDR Nvidia geForce 4X AGP) as a 3D card and defaults to software acceleration. Am I doing something wrong or did I just spend a fortune to have a useless GPL? Please help me or shoot me!! Thanks for the response -- in my angst I completely forgot that I needed to install the openGL patch (so I did do something dumb after all!) I use my computer for trading too but honestly, I could satisfy that requirement with an 800 and an average video card -- so the decision to go for a 1Gig was purely based on GPL (and SCGT and Falcon 4) Incidentally, I used to race (FF, FSF, Imsa FH and GTU) and the cost of the 1 Gig wouln't pay for one races' tires/supplies.
