GPL works best with a Voodoo card. The stock version of GPL wasn't optimised
for opengl but you can now download the opengl patch as well as loads of
other goodies from www.theuspits.com

Hi
A friend of mine recently purchased gpl and has a ati rage128 3d card
obviously he cant use it so i tried using the rastogl.dll and modified
core.ini
but once he has selected the openg as 3d driver it locks up and then
locks everythime he tries to start gpl
he has tried it using version1 and 1.2 of gpl
any idas on how he might be abe to get this working
cheers
Tris
Do a search on deja.com. Someone managed to get decent results using the
OpenGL patch and an ATI Rage Fury (128) and posted here a few months ago.
Some tweaking and file editing was required, but just the usual mirror
stuff. Definitely not S.O.L.

I use GPL 1.2, OpenGL patch, and a TNT2Ultra card.
*Every* time GPL loads, and the menu screen appears, the mouse pointer
freezes. I have to press CTRL-ALT-DEL *once*, then click 'Cancel', and
everything is OK.
Does this sort it?
Technically, the ATI card should be able to cope with OpenGL. Do you have
any other OpenGL apps (e.g. Quake III demo) to test?
