Hi All,
I just ordered an Act-Labs force RS wheel and am eagerly awaiting its
arrival. I do have a question though: How much of your FF wheel's
vibration is translated to your desk? I have a glass-top desk and was
wondering if everything will vibrate so much that it might affect my
ability to watch the monitor.

just let her sit on it while you go for a few laps on the rumble strips,
that'l change her mind.

Hey Kenny,
PMPL (there's a new one for you ... Pissed my pants laughing)
Nice to see you (kinda) outside a NRLA bug report. NRLA behaving for you?
Look for an update soon.

LOL, oh yea, it'll shake your desk for sure. Especially with the strong
motor in the Force RS. Not so much in GPL or MGPRS2, but in games like NFS3
or Midtown Madness be prepared for some jarring. You can still view the
monitor though, because your head will shake at the same frequency as the
screen ;)

FF set to full.
3/4" thick wooden desk.
My cats hate me, they can't sleep on the desk when I use the wheel.
Guess they're kinda ticklish :-)

Hello,
I have an oak desk set at home that is loaded with hardware and books
(heavy) and it still shakes like crazy. You know what is cool is if
you hook up a powered sub to your system when you are playing! I have
a 12 inch, 300 watt sub that I drag from my stereo system. It is
really cool to have the floor and desk shake!
My girlfriend's cat usually likes to stand on the keyboard and paw at
the moving lights on the monitor, but she flies off the desk once the
Force RS is hooked up!

haha. OK I'll make sure to bolt everything down before I start using
this wheel. I wonder if some thick foam paddding under the wheel might
help?

Well, the first time I used my MSFF I still had all sorts of stuuf over my
desk (CD's on top of the speaker, manuals leaning up against the monitor,
pencils on the desk, etc) and half a lap around Monza I was killing myself
laughing as everything just fell all over the place as a result of the desk
shaking under the ff effects. At least it makes me keep a relatively clear
desk now ;O)
