Hi! I just upgraded the software, and made a new profile for GPL, but if I launch GPL from it, it will not accept the damping values from the device properties screen. I like to run with 0 damping force in control panel, but now, if I start the game from the profiler, it seems that damping is always 100%. If I kill the profiler, and start the game from windows 95 osr2, than it does accept the damping 0 value, but now my brake pedal is too sensitive! Please help! Domagoj

Because I am using lwff pedals, and if I set brake to low sensitivity, I THINK that I can get a better response from the brake. Otherwise, the travel is just so small that it's very hard to brake well. Dodo

This from the wingmanteam message board: (It's kind of a pain but it worked for me.) the force feedback settings have moved into the Profiler. You can set damper/overall/spring force levels and centering spring enable/disable/strength for each game separately. The slider for setting the damper is not yet implemented - but the logic is there. You can change the values as follows: - Make sure your profile for GPL has "Use special Force Feedback Device Settings" checked in the Game specific settings (menu Edit, Specific Game Settings) - Export your profile. - Open it with Notepad. Scroll down to the end, and you'll see the following lines: FFMainGain=100 This is the slider for "overall force strength". It goes from 0 to 150. FFSpringGain=100 This one doesn't have a slider - but it also goes from 0 to 150, and it's the spring strength. FFDamperGain=100 This is the one you're interested in. Change it to 0 or whatever you want it to be. FFPersistentSpring=0 If this is 1, you always have a centering spring. If it's 0, the spring will be turned off for FF games, and only if the game wants a spring will there be one. FFPersistentSpringGain=100 This is the strength of your default centering spring. Again, it's 0 to 150. After you modified what you want, delete current profile in the Profiler (Edit->Delete), and then Import your modified GPL profile. Launch GPL, and the damper should be gone for this game. ..tom Domagoj Malovic <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:7u739b$ejq$[email hidden]...

Thanks! Once again I get an answer just a few hours after I asked. I just want you to know that it will not go unnoticed by people in this group! thanks once again! Domagoj (Edit->Delete), and then Import your modified GPL profile. Launch GPL, and >the damper should be gone for this game. > >..tom >
