They mention marbles and the loss off grip when going off the racing line in the track guide screen. Anyone found the marbles yet?
Maybe it isn't graphically included.. Mike "Fcuk U" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:p_gbd.1546$[email hidden]... > They mention marbles and the loss off grip when going off the racing line > in the track guide screen. Anyone found the marbles yet?

Try running wide out of Blanchimont (the fast left before the right hand kink up to the bus stop). Not necessarily dynamic marbles, but to me, it certainly feels like marbles and not just a less grippy part of the race track. There's just something about it that's different. Alan

Isn't that feature supposed to be dynamic? i.e. the longer you run on the track, the more 'virtual marbles' affect the car. I would suppose that visually they may not even attempt to display the marbles but merely work the change into the track settings without showing any real virtual marbles(now THAT is a concept) Or they could just apply a slightly different texture, much like a changing day to night enviroment...just add a slightly darker texture the longer the event lasts. I've only run a few exploratory laps..I have experienced the edge of traction several times. :) But certainly not enought laps to discover if the track surface merely has a grippy inner section vs a slicker outer portion or if the marbles dynamically build up...I just don't have time right now... I have got two league events to get ready for...It's Bullrun 1000 time again. Check out our Team SMO cars at: http://www.teamsmo.com/ dave henrie

Agreed. And they should only appear as a race progresses. Marc "Jussi Koukku" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > Maybe the feature is used only in the sim mode... I'd imagine that > such a feature would take away some "arcade fun". > -- > - Jussi Koukku -
