So, Schumaker has thrown down the gauntlet to us all! Can *we*
lap Spain stuck in 5th gear anywhere near his time, or can we finish 2nd
(albeit in a race with substantial attrition) going the last 40 laps in
5th (with a pit stop!!) ?
I consider this to be one of the great driving performances for a
long time...

Funny you should mention that...because I tried the very same that last
night after the race- there are at least two things which are very difficult:
1) judging the speed you should be cornering at(normally you use the
engine revs to help you)
2) not getting any acceleration coming out of the corners!
plus
3) getting passed by Lotuses on the straight
I managed to keep most things at bay, partly through devious weaving, and partly
by having a slightly superior car... I would add that 5th gear is the
best one to get stuck in.
However, in the game, it seemed that once someone got past you, they
just pissed off into the distance...
N.B. Schumacher is GOD(or he would be if god existed).
