>Subject: F1 car set for Indycar - f1.zip [1/4] How many more times are people going to post binaries to this group? Does anyone still care about that's generally refered to as netiiquette? REad the damn FAQ's and learn how to do things around here! You post a NOTE in this group that there are some files posted in some binaries.misc group or whereever. Or just put them on one of the well known FTP servers. Division of Information Technology | 608-262-0282 1210 W. Dayton St., Madison, WI 53706 |

I did not know that I could not nor did it take up much space. "netiiquette"? Boy that died when AOL was created. Besides, it never really existed; it was a myth. And there are where? There are available via ftp at 128.169.208.149 and your point? Bryon

His point, he said trying to keep his cool, is that some of us out here pay by the minute for our access to the net. We do not want to spend 10-12 minutes downloading something that is of no use to us. Yes a kill file can stop this sort of thing (as it did mostly for me) but not everybody uses these. If you are using an edu access point please try and remember those of us that don't have free access to the net, something I personally would kill for - you should see my phone bill. ===================================================================== Gary Brown at Terrania 3.5m Sig under construction. Bryon, you seem to forget that SOME PEOPLE (pointing meaningfully at himself) are paying phone charges to connect to the Internet. I don't want to waste a quid an hour downloading stuff that is (largely) USELESS to me. Thank you. -- --- _________________________________________ |Adam Williamson |Maintainer of the | |"The views expressed |and total computer | |here do not represent|nut. To those of you ***ing about having to pay for net access, I say you need to increase your income circle. And yes, I know how and yes soon I will not be here and will have to pay and yes, I will not care since my income will far exceed my bills. And no, I am not talking about a job. bryob

Lets see, from memory some guy publishes a fantastic Win Help file called F1... He resits the tempation to post here or too r.a.s.f1 He posts it is Alt.binaries.misc He then posts a pointer in the appropiate groups directing people to a.b.m Now is it just me or is it that ***en difficult for the nimrod who posted the binaries here Oh, the FAQ's well, they arn't posted daily, only weekly. Shit, if it was daily what a waste of bandwidth that would be...... ************************************************************************* "Miserable mortals who.... at one moment flame with life.... at another moment weakly perish" The lliad Bk XXI L463, -Homer 700BC

The ironic thing is that the file was bad anyway...
