are their any new tracks and if not can you change the existing ones in any way
any way Well, if you haven't seen the track-pack, then yes, there are new tracks. All of the Winston Cup tracks are available, except for Daytona and Indy. Funny thing, Papyrus got Indy for the IndyCar Racing, but can't get it for NASCAR game?

I'm sure you'll read my answer to this query in another subject, but, here it is again: Papyrus can model the track, they've done it before, the problem is copywrites: the folks who own the I500 title aren't the same set of folks who own the B400 title. This means there's another set of money g***s out there who are asking more to do the track and the RACE. The latter is what really holds things up. Damn lawyers...

Thus they should own > the rights to any likeness of IMS, regardless if it's I500 or BY400. They hold absolute control over the track. They don't control race sponsors though. That appears to be the key point in the negotiations. And the main stumbling block to getting the IMS for NASCAR. Yeah, that's an old thing for the Papyrus BBS. Not necessarily. He certainly would want the revenue to support the IRL. Which is one reason I suspect he broke with tradition and added the Brickyard 400 in the first place: to get some cash to support a new series. I thought Tony George and Rose Hullman (the whole family) owned Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a private holding. Thus they should own the rights to any likeness of IMS, regardless if it's I500 or BY400. Any way, I asked Papyrus if there was any hope in getting the BY400 for NASCAR in any future track Packs. The reply was simple "No." Sounds like a problem with Tony George. Bill

The name of the event doesn't sound like "The Bud at The Glenn." At the race this year I just noticed the standard NASCAR sponsors. ie Busch pole award. Bill Carter
I suspect that the biggest sponsor was Delco Electronics. They sure had the biggest presence of any corporate entity. But not enough clout to have the race named after them

Chevrolet is one of them. There are others. The name was chosen simply because of where the race is. It's a bit dramatic and that's why they went with it. It just wouldn't be the same if it were the 'Bud at the Brickyard'. Apparently the race sponsors want more money than Papyrus is willing to give.

Pennzoil was the main sponsor for the BY400.

I keep seeing references to tracks that I do not have in my version of Nascar. Is there a way of setting up other tracks or are they available elsewhere on the Net.
