Has anyone had any luck getting the wheel to work with NFS? I can get the wheel to work but not the pedals. Any help would be appreciated.

I have the formula T2. I have the same problem. The steering wheel works. The pedals don't. Scott Meadow

Bob, I was having this problem also. Right inside the booklet it shows where to put the adapter. If you don't have it, it says to put it where you would plug in your joystick, if you have enough room between your box and the wall. I put mine in the cable at the very first junction of the cable out from the box. They are the same electrically. My mistake was I was putting it in at the next junction and it wasn't catching the pedals. I hope this works for you. If not, possibly you have a defective adapter. Ron

What kind of card do you have? a friend of mine has a Tandy (hey..he got a good deal on it) and his soundcard won't recognize the T1 OR a joystick in NFS, Nascar, OR ICR...I'm thinking he'll have to invest in a game card.

Sounds like your friend does not have the joystick port on the sound card enabled. There is usually a jumper that must be removed to do this. You'll need to consult the documentation for the card to find out. If it's an older card, chances are it may not accept a dual input devise like the T1 either. _______________________________________ Tim Wortman NASSCAR '95 Series Director Visit the NASSCAR '95 home page http://www.webcom.com/twortman/nasscar/ _______________________________________

Thanks for the advice. I'll try it. I don't have the unit in front of me so I don't know how it's hooked up, but I think I remember plugging the adapter directly into the game card. Is this right? (You say it's where the book says to put it, but I'm not sure from your message if that's the correct placement.) Incidentally, a frien'd adapter also didn't work. I'll double check it, though. My game card is really a game/sound card (I know, I know) but the manual says it is a dual port card (which is what I need for NFS). Works for NASCAR, doesn't for anything requiring adapter (assuming I didn't hook it in wrong.) Thanks for the advice and I'll pass along if I get it to work. My worst thought (not too bad actually) is that I may have to get a dedicated game card. Oh well. Bob

>I have the formula T2. I have the same problem. The steering wheel >works. The pedals don't. > Scott Meadow Had the same problem till I figured out that the adapter that came the T2 was needed. Install it on game port 1 (if using a multiport) and thne hook the wheel up to it. What is seems to do is fools the game into thinking the T1/2 and pedals are one joystick, since in most games they read as two. Then just set up the controls in NFS for the steering to be the left and right axis and the gas and brake to be the for and aft axis. Works like a champ except everytime you go from something like ICR2 or NASCAR to NFS you've got to install the adapter...

Just leave the adapter on for ICR2 and Nascar as well. You just have to change the control settings to recognize the change in configuration. I leave the adapter on all the time. Also, I purchased a joystick switchbox from Cables America (Computer shopper) and installed my Gravis joystick on one port and the wheel on the other. Just a flick of the switch and I'm racing or running doom. Tom P.
