Does anyone have information on running nascar version 1.21mx which is for a matrox card. I bought a Gateway 2000 with the matrox but did not receive a new version of Nascar. I'm told by Gateway they don't know anything about it and Matrox tells me Gateway supports the card so they won't help. Please tell me what this version does, what performance upgrade I would receive, and is it for dos or win95. Thanks in advance if anyone knows about this secret product. -- MZ

I have the Matrox Millenium card of which you speak. I bought it from a friend of mine who works for a company in West ***ia that builds servers. According to him, he can't even get the product right now due to back orders and production problems. If you have this card, it is spectacular for NASCAR, as the version included is optimized for the card. For your problem, the video card(for that matter, the computer it came in) should have had included with it a CD-ROM, on which is the game. The disk is not required for game play, only to load the game onto your hard drive. -- *Rob Cornelius "Remember, nothing says "Happy Birthday Christ" * *Ohio University better than a three pound beef-stick." * *614-593-8480 -Me, at the Hickory Farms, 11/18/95 *
the version included is optimized for the card.<< I think you'll find it's crippled so that it only runs with the Matrox, but it's no quicker than any other version. Steve.

I have the same problem with a Compaq 5133/Qvision video adapter. The adapter is made by Matrox for Compaq. I don't know the answer to the problem but I would appreciate an e-mail if you can figure it out. I'll let ya know if I make any progress.
