For those of you running the Brickyard in NASCAR, you've probably noticed excessive tire temps, especially on the right side. Here's the fix: Open the INDY.TXT file, and the POCONO.TXT file. Change the TEMP and TEMP2 settings in the INDY.TXT file to match those in the POCONO.TXT file. You might have to add the TEMP2 setting. Also, as someone has already mention, the LAPS setting needs to be changed to 160. Also, change the QUAL setting from 2 2, to 2 1 (qualifying at the Brickyard is only one lap). I also deleted the GEARS setting, since NASCAR doesn't use it. Shouldn't you also change the line 'CARS 32 32' to 'CARS 40 40' to allow a maximum of 40 cars on the track. Is there enough room in the pits to make this change? -- Eric T. Busch Emory University

I don't think you can change it to 40 because the sim doesn't contain 40 cars! Anways, for those who have had problems, I've just be send Gerhards final converters for the track by John Wallace. These finally sort the AI and tyre overheating problems. I'll try and get them uploaded over the weekend. Jed The Pits www.ukps.com/thepits www.fwb.gulf.net/~jkohl/thepits

In my version there are: my car, one pace car, and 38 opponents. Last time I checked that was 40 cars. -- Eric T. Busch Emory University

It can be done to get the full 39-car Papyrus NASCAR field, but you'll just have to reverse slightly at the start of practice to avoid rear-ending the guy ahead of you. Earl

Now, if anyone can figure out how to hack the game so that the field can be expanded to the proper 42 (or 33 in the case of ICR2), I'd certainly like to know about it! Earl

my 'opponents' value goes up to on the menu.. In Nascar Racing, I changed the cars line to 40 and it works just fine, 38 opps, your car and the pace car. There is a ton of room in the pits. In Indycar II, Does anyone know how cool the right front tire? John
