I believe the word you are looking for is "spins out" or "slides" (?) instead of "overturns". I think this handling trait is common to most rear-wheel drive cars (which all? NFS cars are). This happens especially if you're applying power through a turn- the rear wheels end up being spun faster than the tires can grip, and the result is a loss of traction and thus you see the slide. The front wheels have more grip, so even if you turn your wheels all the way to the outside of a turn, the car really won't turn any farther than straight ahead, because both the front and back of the car are drifting to the outside of the turn. If I what I said is correct (and it may not be), then I have to disagree with you; I think this rear-wheel-drive-spinout is what you'd probably find in real life, and it makes the game more challenging because you have to point the nose in the right exact direction so that when your rear tires finally regain grip, you won't shoot off into the side of the road. IMHO. Jack

The right word is "oversteers" (Thanks to James !). |> I think this handling trait is common to most |> rear-wheel drive cars (which all? NFS cars are). I'm aware of that.

What I think is that when the car oversteers, you normaly have to.... to...(shit, another word i don't know :-( ) ...to "turn the wheel to the outside of the turn" and then straight (when regaining grip) to control the car. This would be challenging and realistic, IMHO. What is bad is that the front comes back in the right way even if you shake your joystick like a fool :). -- Cedric MILLET - Eleve-ingenieur ESIAL "L'atemporalite est une notion transhistorique corroborant la physico-logistique du phenomene humain." The word you want is oversteer. Overturn means you are upside down. Weird huh. Tony
Yeah, that's 'counter steering' (:-)) and you're right, you don't get much oportunity in NFS to do it as it does it itself. In real life it is very easy to power turn and spin 180 degrees with RWD cars (with enough power). They don't stop turning halfway through etc etc
