A challange to Papyrus or the Pits. For Papyrus, NASCAR is your sim, so I feel
feel that you should make it better. Right now I, like everyone else, would
like to see a new and improved NASCAR. But in the mean time, how about a patch?
The most annoying thing to me is the quick yellow flags. I was racing on short
tracks, and short tracks mean bumpin and rubbin. Bumpin and rubbin means YELLOW
Even if neither cars wreck, yellow still comes out. Thats what racing is about.
Gettin to know your opponents very well! To the Pits, I know your busy, but
since you all make great progams, is it within your realm to make a fix on this?
As much as I would like to see Daytona come out, I would much rather have the
overall sim work much better. This is more important than Daytona.

This is more important than Daytona. There has been some confusion recently regarding the availability of the
license for Daytona. I asked one of our licensing people in-house, and the
reply was that Sega has an *exclusive* license for the Daytona track at
least through the end of 1996. So regardless of what that quoted e-mail
from an unidentified person at Sega says, Papyrus/Sierra can not use the
Daytona track at this time, no matter how much money we offer or how much
Daytona would now like us to use it.
Hoping this clears up the confusion.

Man, you know I respect you guys.. but a word of advice. If Sega's
license is up in 1996, then Papyrusierra had better be camped out on
Bill France's doorstep on Dec. 31st at 11:59pm with contracts in hand
for NASCAR v.2 (assuming it will be released)... otherwise, a whole
screaming legion of NASCAR fans will advance on your corporate
headquarters and stick lots of ice down everyone's pants.
:-)
Thanks,

Nice thought, but not that easy.
I don't much fancy disassembling ICR2 into machine code and then
wading through pile os code to locate a few bugs. After all the
program isn't mine!
At least if Papyrus are doing it, it should be done properly, and
hopefully with a few more tweaks.

Elton Sawyer ain't exactly Dale Earnhardt I think they might be able to
get on as an associate sponsor but a full deal is still mega$$$$. It would
be great to see as I have told people at the races about the game and they
said they were thinking about buying a computer but now are definetly.
They got really pumped up when I told them about the MUltiplayer Network
that was supposed to be ready by now ;-(

Several of us asked Papyrus about this waaaaay back when. The reply (and I can
understand it) is that they were limited in resources and they could either
keep patching NR (which needs only some tweaks) or work on NR2 (new, improved,
tweaked out). They decided to work on NR2. I can live with that.
As for Daytona: First, you gotta figure out how to get SEGA to give up the
rights.....
