Maybe you could try amazon.de, they ship internationally I
believe. You'll have to live with a german printed manual, but you can
swith the language to english and the manuals are all on the DVD,
too.

I ordered mine from gameplay.co.uk on Sept 6th. Got an email affirming
the order, but as of yet, no email saying it has shipped. And the site
says 'usually shipped within a fortnight'.

You bet it was!
This is why I deliberately avoided the pre-order. A trade secret is that
most pre-order places rely on the heavy discounts offered after the
immediate launch of the game. They simply won't get stock until they can do
so at the discounted prices they have negotiated. When something like RBR
becomes popular, then of course all the stocks will go to the shops that can
sell at the high prices.
