The EA web page says Road Rash is "now available", but I haven't seen
it in any stores. Has anyone seen it yet? The one thing I'm really
interested in is network support - does it need a LAN, or can it work
over the internet? (possibly through KALI?)

I've had it for awhile, but haven't tried it networked. Since it
supports TCP/IP directly, it shouldn't require KALI.

Yes, Road Rash *is* out there. I saw it at Software Etc., Electronics
Boutique, and bought it at Sam's Club for $39.99 U.S.
Road rash is Windows 95 native, so it won't run in DOS, it requires a
P5-75 or better, 25MB HD space, 16MB RAM, Direct Draw compatible SVGA
Card with 1MB RAM, 2X CDROM, and a 16-Bit sound card.
For Multiplayer:
IPX or TCP/IP compatible network for 2-8 players, 28,800 bps or faster.
I took this straight off the box.
For everything to work smoothly, EA recommends that you disable Dial-Up
Networking. The intro video hitched and sputtered (game play was fine
though) with D_U Networking enabled, on my P5-200 w/ 8X CD and 32MB RAM.
I've played it only a few times, but it seems an awful lot like the
Genesis cart I also own.
BTW, I'm having much more fun with NHL '97 - THIS GAME ROCKS!
Let me know if ya need more info,

Yep... Saw it today in *** Megastore, Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Not my type of game though so cant answer any questions about networking
etc.
