Has anyone been able to get the chat option to work when connected via
modem?

sure, it works, no problem..

Yes, but you can't talk to one another while you are racing unless you
first escape to the chat room. Not very user friendly when compared to
N1.

You have to settle for the Auto-Chat-Macros? (which are a pain in the
***to do while racing, but then again so is typing). So no more
Trash-Talk? unless you plan ahead =)
