While racing via modem, my machine is the slave, I've seen a laundry list
of wierd things. They are, in no particular order and no particular track
....
- beginning the pace lap, inside the pole sitter's car, when I should be at
the back;
- the field is all strung out on a restart, not bunched up as it should;
- individual cars or the whole field disappears for an instant or as long
as a whole lap;
- my car is sitting in my pit stall when I pit;
- a car will be parked at the S/F line every lap;
- the list of drivers is all wacky (Marcis is in the 17, Hillen is in the
3, etc.)
- current lap stats are screwey;
- in standings, the car I drive is hilighted, but it tracks another car in
the race;
- I'm sure there are more, but these come to mind and happen frequently.
Stats are:
latency - .11;
9600 baud;
full field;
AI updates installed;
disk in CD;
SVGA;
P100slave, P166 host.
Any of this sound familiar or close to your findings. It's so bad, that
we're not even gonna attempt a season until this stuff is cleared up.
