good day everyone. I usually play one 50% length race vs the comp per
day, sometimes two on weekends. I play vs the AI at 100% and I have won
most races at one time or anothor, I can win most races if I race well.
Currently I have to turn off ground, car, object, and grass textures for
30 fps.
Should I get the Screamin 3D rendition card? Is it worth it? Is it
really that good? also, does the sky texture come with all the tracks
in the rendition version or only those 5 special ones?
William:
I have a Rendition Card and I love it, although I love to really feel
that I'm there and graphics help that. I got similar performance to
yours before getting the Rendition card, and personally I love the
improvements. The frame rates will not improve if you already get 30
fps, so I have to ask if the much prettier graphics at 5 tracks are
worth it to you. You will be able to turn on all textures and full
detail mirrors even at the non-enhanced tracks.
No, the non-enhanced tracks are not enhanced graphically at all over the
normal ICR2 game. Only in framerates(including all textures, though)
and anti-aliasing are they improved. I think it's worth it, but knowing
the difference it will make, decide for yourself. If you're already
content, save your $200...

Sky texture/clouds only appear on the 5 re-done tracks.

Those sky textures are only on the 5 special tracks. Of course if your
watching the sky, your looking the wrong way..:) If your turning off the
car paintjobs, I think your loosing the fun of passing Mike whats his Name
or Al Jr. Grass and Pavement are the two biggest hits. But if you can
get 30 fps your doing very well already.
