I know this newsgroup has had enough of video card questions, but here is
another. I understand that rendition based cards are the only type in
which NCR II can run in 3d, but are these cards also the fastest. I am
currently using a Diamond Stealth 2000, with 16mb of ram, and a P133 and
can only run at about 16-17fps with most everything turned off accept car
texture, grandstands, skids & paint, 8 cars front, 3 behind. I guess my
question boils down is there a video card that will improve my frame rate
to something more acceptable (3d or not) or do my problems lie elsewhere.
I am willing to forego 3d if I can only increase my framerate, and will
more RAM improve anything more than longer replays.

You havent lived until you've played NCR2 or ICR2 with a verite card.
With my p133 the frame rates start at 30fps with all the graphics on
and the games look utterly fantastic.
