I am experiencing the same problem, and I find it to be quite annoying. However, it's not as annoying as having the car lurch at the wall every so often. I am about ready to reinstall the original version of NASCAR 2. Bleed, True Death

I'm working on it but having a few wee problems.... Basically, from what I can tell, the SUNNY.PCX file embedded in the NCHRLTTE.DAT file has the words 'sunny.pcx' written across it in bright green. This makes colour 1 in the pallette bright green also and may be whats causing the problem. I wrote a patch last night that looks for the sunny.pcx file in the DAT and patches the offending color index without the need to extract the file, however for some reason it's not working properly. I'm still working on it and if I solve it I'll post it to the binaries newsgroups and on The Pits as soon as it's done. Cheers Jed The Pits - [link lost in import]
Thanks Jed this will help greatly.. Please post a message or email me when you put it on the pits.
