Thats ok if the files in your win/sys are equal or later than the ones in the game dir, but it seems that in most cases with F1 racing they are not. The game calls for a vxd of v1.2 and finds v1.1 in win/sys and wont run. Why remove a later type file and replace it with an earlier version? Seems backwards to me and to others by the sounds of it. Apparently you need to copy the files fxmme.vxd glide2x.dll from the directory where you installed f1ubi to your windows/system directory. The game reads your windows/system first, and thus does not know that the correct version is in the game directory. I did this and all is well. Bob

What does this mean? If the Ubi F1 directory has _newer_ versions of those said files, then why isn't it using them instead of the older versions in the system directory? Sounds backwards to me... In other words, if it is going to use the files from system directory anyway, instead of the same (but different version) files in the Ubi F1 directory, why did they include those two files (fxmemmap.vxd and glide2x.dll) with the game in the first place? Anyway, I first got the "wrong vxd version" error, but when I deleted those two files from the UBI F1 directory, the demo worked fine. It is now using those two files from the system directory, previously it tried to use the same files which are in the UBI F1 directory.

I finally finished downloading F1RS But now even after moving the files to windows/system, I get the error message "_GlideInitEnvironment: glide2x.dll expected VoodooGraphics, none detected" But they are most definitely in the windows system dir Did i miss something or does it not work with Voodoo RUSH?
