I was over at O3Dfx and read a couple really cool headlines: Andretti
Racing 98 was released today and the 3Dfx patch for N2 may be released
by Christmas! After being disappointed with the CPR demo and unimpressed
with the TD4 demo, the news of AR98's release makes my day! I've not
seen a demo of AR98 anywhere, only screenshots and previews. I hope this
doesn't mean they're trying to hide something, like terrible AI or a bad
controller interface. After all, CPR was supposed to be the next great
racing game and I put it in the same class as X-Car. Oh well, we shall
find out shortly how good this game is. The screenshots look good but I
can't remember seeing an in-car view. If anyone has any details of this
game, then please leave a note here.
Wow, a 3Dfx patch for N2, what a huge event! There's not much to add to
this except, thank you, thank you, thank you!
A quick note: NFSIISE is a great arcade game but it would be really nice
to have a sim with great graphics. Please let AR98 be more than another
pretty face with no brain.
Cordially,
Buddha
