F1RS..loading car setups?

2 posts by 2 people · 05 Dec 1997 - 13 Dec 1997

I have had this sim now for almost two weeks and still after numerous re-installs cant get it to allow me to load a car set-up. I can save them and view them in the save screen, but cant get the load screen to come up when i click on the highlighted yellow load light. Yes i am in a screen with the garage picture. Also how do you get your name into the hall of fame? i did it once but cant remember how on this install. I'm anonymous! I did have the full install (3dfx) on c drive but only had 200megs left free for the swop file after install, so after several attempts to get it to stop thrashing the disk i installed it on g drive which has 600 megs free. I also told w95 that the virtual memory was on g drive and that made things a lot smoother. Great sim but still lots of bugs to get rid of, it managed to give me 140 cross linked files on c drive last night before i moved it! I got some setup and ghost files from another user and put these in the correct dir and when i tried some of the ghosts i got crashed out of the sim back to 95 with illegal error msg's, so be careful what ghosts you use. I have the same problem. I changed the desktop resolution from 800x 600 to 640 x 480 and now the "flag cursor" CAN appear over the LOAD light, but when I press it the windows ARROW cursor appears and F1 EXITS!! (In 800 x 600 the flag cursor simply refused to appear over the LOAD light, it only reached the SAVE light) Someone has a solution yet? Rene Feijen
