N2 Multiplayer FAQ?

Is there a FAQ for Multiplayer N2 over a network? I have a few questions (never done it). 1.) Why does N2 require a field of 40 drivers? Won't I just see the "real" drivers I'm online with? 2.) Will other drivers see my custom car? Will I see theirs? 3.) Are there specific setup instructions available for the host and client PC's to set up for a race using IPX via the 'net (excluding the need for the providers software)? 4.) Is it possible to chat with other drivers? I read a little about pre-defined "auto-chat" or something... TIA Devon
