Pay for a 3Dfx-Patch ? NFS2-owners: Don't Buy NFS2SE !

4 posts by 4 people · 07 Feb 1998 - 11 Feb 1998

Hi all! It's impossible Electronic Arts is selling their NFS2 3Dfx-Patch for money, and they call it NFS2SE. NFS2SE is nothing else than a lousy 3Dfx-Patch... There are only a few cars and only one track added. - I can't belive it. Noone owning NFS2 will buy NFS2SE. Why can't they give a patch for free ? Any comments ? (Please also via email...) cya... --

I also dont think that NFS2 SE is worth the money, even though they are offering the 'rebate' for owners of the original version. I think my biggest problem is that they didnt write any 3dfx code for the in-car view. Maybe when goes into the 'discount bin' at my local software store I'll get it for around 9 to 10 bucks.

NFS2se is not just a patch. It has a new track, with new music, 4 new cars, new 3Dfx wheather (rain, snow, fog, and those awesome bugs that slat against the wind shield on the outback track), and a new driving mode (wild). I had NFS2 (which I did not like much), after buying NFS2se (which I can not play enough), I can see that is was worth the money. If you just look at the one extra track and the 4 extra cars, no it wasn't worth the money, but the whole game has been improved, and I feel it was worth the money. My opinon.

Then EA can refund me for that Beta they made for sale! Basically, IMHO, They execs at EA are a bunch of *ssholes FHLH "I said no to ***.... But they wouldn't listen!" -- "We have so much time... and so little to do" > NFS2se is not just a patch.
