Post it to a web site somewhere so we can all try it.
Sid.
GPL Monza demo track surfaces and is shared
A poster said he had a GPL demo featuring Monza from a magazine CD. After requests to post it, the roughly 2MB track files were shared and doktorB arranged hosting. Early users reported laps around 1:38 and praised the track.
Automated summary.
Please please please don't be a bogus message liar *** person. It
hurts when it isn't true :)
Put up some screenshots on a web page to prove it then.

It can't be as big as the original
demo... If you really have it
then post it.
Post it to "alt.binaries.games" - do you know how to break down the file(s)
into smaller more magageable pieces? (If you use Forte Agent or FreeAgent,
it does it for you).
A file is never "too big" - I've downloaded entire games (200+ MB). It might
take a while, but it is usually worth it.
Assuming the demo is the same size as the previous CD version (60MB), just
zip it up. (The other demo was exactly the same as the internet version, but
the internet version had been zipped to 13mb).
Anyway, if you could spare a couple of hours uploading time (assuming you
don't have a cable modem like some lucky people), WE WOULD ALL BOW DOWN TO
YOU AND WORSHIP YOU.
We would be eternally grateful.
And btw, Joystick Magazine does NOT have the demo available yet on their
WebSite. I will be sure to let everyone know as soon as I find it..

Just an idea.... Can't you post the Monza track file alone, then all that
has to be done is to add the Monza track file to the existing tracks folder.

I'm sorry.. I hadn't thought about the phone bill - I'm in Canada, and i'm
logged on pretty much 10-15 hrs a day, downloading stuff, etc. (can you say
warez!).. I don't pay a cent for the phone call.
Hadn't thought about it, but thanks anyway!!
We owe you large!!

Off topic, but of interest to cable modem shoppers - they're
only fast one way (downloading). You upload files (and send
your "clicks" and keystrokes) through your regular phone
line just like you do now...

cause I tried it without moving Watkins glen).
Am in process of posting it to my site.
Will update here as soon as it is up..

Hmmm... I wonder where I read my info... I better look
into them again...
So, it *is* a lot slower than the download, but I guess
it's still probably faster than a regular modem??
Thanks for the corrections.

I read in the paper the other day that there will be a new system in place
in a couple of years here in Canada (we were the first to get cable modems).
This one will be 250,000 TIMES FASTER THAN CABLE!!!!
The article said that you could download the entire library of congress in
less than 1 second!!
I guess at that speed, some downloads would be on your computer before the
screen could refresh!!
doktorB
could you send a copy down here to Rio de janeiro(never seen this mag
here).Thanks a lot
