Same here, and the guy at the counter asked if I was one of the people who called to reserve them, which I hadn't. Apparently they had at least one other person buying both today. Only thing is....what to play? <grin> Damn 'em for releasing both on the same day. On a quick runthrough of both, they seem great. GPL is everything expected, and more. Really glad I got the P-400 over the summer, it uses it for a full-field race. Madden seems pretty good on a quick run-through, played a coach-only *** (need to get new drivers for the Gamepad Pro for Win 98, haven't needed it until now). The rest of the evening is positively shot, and I know what I'm doing this weekend too :-) Ken

So did I. GPL is great! Madden runs a little choppy on my system at 640 x 480. 233pent. oc to 266mhz 64meg ram voodoo 2 > I just bought both. :-)

If this particular store's policy on PC games are the same as the console games, you can't return either game for a refund.

Ah, so does this mean the final version of GPL does work in Windows 98? I got worried in the latest Sierra Interaction where they previewed new releases, and most of them said "Win95 & 98" but GPL's page just said "Win95". Now then, do I wait until I start working at a CompUSA after the Computer City I'm at finishes its liquidation in a week, to get it at a discounted price, or do I just go out and get it now for full price ... but my T2's pedal spring is broken ... got the replacements but don't have the tools to put them in ... been looking at getting an Ultimate Per4Mer force-feedback wheel unit from our liquidation sale anyway ... I suppose with force feedback, the loss of grip would be even more quickly noted and adjusted for, making GPL more fun and driveable ... hmm ... decisions, decisions ... -- http://www2.cruzio.com/~keeper/toons.html - Animaniacs, P&TB, F!, etc. files http://www2.cruzio.com/~keeper/CSATSM.html - Capt Simian & The Space Monkeys http://www.armory.com/~keeper/midi.html - My own MIDI files - Updated 5 Mar

Unfortunately ForceFeedback won't do a damn thing for your GPL experience as it is not implemented in the program. -- **************************** Michael E. GPL doesn't support force feedback. Don't buy the wheel for GPL, or you will be disappointed. -- Wolfgang Preiss \ E-mail copies of replies to this posting are welcome.
