On Mon Oct 12, Gilles MOURETTE wrote ------------------------------------ during the early '70. The "1000 kms of Paris" at Rouen-les-Essarts in 1972 was even the first race I ever went to (the field included several 2L and 3L protos - Lola, Chevron, Abarth and a bunch of GTs - mainly Ferrari 365 GTB4 "daytona", De Tomaso Pantera and 911S...). and Emerson Fittipaldi Lotus/Taxaco Star F2) and 1975 I believe... public roads... so you could drive on it during week days... texture of the pavement at "Nouveau Monde" hairpin is not exactly how I remember it. The only, only thing we miss in the simulation was the quite unique sound ambiance due to the "echo" effect between all these steep hills... And I can only add my feelings about the race tracks that I know from real live: Nurburgring, Francorchamps and Zandvoord. Papyrus did an *awesome* job with them, too! -Thorsten Rueter
