NR99 - Dynamic Lighting/Shadows?

3 posts by 3 people · 18 Nov 1998 - 18 Nov 1998

I see the shadows on the screenshots of the guages at Sierra. I just read a review that said there is no dynamic lighting in NR99. Are there shadows like in the screenshots? Do they change as you go around the track? Maybe these are two different things... David
From what I've read, the shadows on the***pit gauges are static, that is, they don't change or move as you move around the track. I, too, saw the screenshots and thought that it appeared to be dynamic lighting. I assume that the shadows were painted into the gauge graphics.

NR99 is simply N2 with 3dfx support and trucks, a few new tracks but the GAME ENGINE is the one they used for N2. Wait for NASCAR3, you'll get all the dynamics you can handle.
