I have just bought GPL after reading how great it is. I am running a AMD
K6-II 266, 64MB Ram and a Creative Labs 16MB Banshee. I have only just
installed the game and I can't get any better than 5FPS with no sound and
minimal graphics. In the set-up screen the game defaults to no accelrator
card and when I amend this to 3DFX it tells me that it will take effect at
the next restart-but it doesn't.
Please, please help or it's back to CMR for me!

i dont know exactly what to do but i hear your supposed to go to 3dfx.com,
get the generic drivers for the banshee and then go to
http://www.grandprix2.com/gpl/patches.htm
and get the banshee patch on that page. I believe that is what you are
supposed to do.

a Diamond Bashee card. Since the video was fine in other games, the quick
fix for me was to uninstall then reinstall GPL. Ran fine after that. If you
go this route, back up your car setups first.
