HELP GPL Problems

Hi, I bought a Diamond Viper 550 TNT and I added my Voodoo2 card to it and GPL is running cruddy framerates of 15-20FPS in 3DFX, even when I use the Nvidia Riva TNT OpenGL patch I still get low framerates. I've d/l ALL the newest TNT and 3DFX drivers but still no improvement. I've also checked so many times if GPL is in the correct graphics mode and I've re-installed GPL loads of times to try and fix it but nothing works. I have a P][ 350mhz 512 L2 cache 64MB of ram 4.3GB Hd 16 MB Diamond Viper v550 12MB Magic Voodoo 2 Could someone please help me because I love this game so much. thanks in advanced

Are you running it in 800x600? - "If the meaning of life was printed in a book, someone would use it to keep the window open."

Did you have any other 3Dfx cards in your system prior to the V2? Sounds like the drivers are not installed properly. If your using the OpenGL patch ensure you've tweaked your core.ini file. I set the mip filtering to 3 (can't tell much difference from the***pit IMHO) and the mirror update to 8. Set your voodoo refresh rate to the max rate your monitor can handle for the resolution you will run GPL in. (800x600) Bob

hahahahahha Umm, you can't speak Toni, sitting hear on this news group sending totally useless info. Mabey you need to learn how to READ, then you could understand the subject and send something useful. Sorry Toni looks like I'm the one who can't read. Sorry about that last message I only saw your quote and not your question on the screen resolution. Well it looks like it's back to kindergaten for me. Hell what a start to my first newsgroup, making an utter fool of myself. I'm really sorry Toni. With your setup, you should still be getting a steady 36 fps (even with an older Voodoo1 card). You could try turning all the details off, and if the FPS doesn't go any higher then your problem is not in the graphics card but somewhere else. - "If the meaning of life was printed in a book, someone would use it to keep the window open."
