As many of you know (hopefully <G>) Team BHMS has a GPL hotlap section on the website www.bhmotorsports.com and choose GPL hotlaps/setups link. I was just glancing through the Top10 lists and there was a noticeable absence of North American drivers on the lists. I do understand that many sim drivers prefer ovals or later model cars in general so this may be the reason for the lack of North-American drivers participating in the GPL hotlaps. Not a straighforward competition of course but still a very popular thing among sim drivers and related web sites. Well, now that the good folks at the Pits, www.theuspits.com have released a converter for certain ICR2 and Nascar2 tracks to be used with GPL I am sure we'll see a lot more North-American drivers participating in sending in hotlaps for the available oval tracks. Our web team got the pages up and running and there are already times posted by Jure Zagoricnik of Team BHMS to get the show started. Let's see if the balance will be a little more even or maybe it will tilted towards the oval specialists! With friendly greetings to all sim drivers I hope you'll all participate and start preparing for the launch of Nascar3 hopefully later this year. On behalf of Team BHMS, Pekka Heino

Do not assume that all Americans like ovals better kust because NASCAR is popular here. I would gladly send out my fast lap to anyone and everyone if it was good enough for anyone to care for it. But with the best of 1.07.4 at the Glen, I don't exactly have anything worth writing home about. :) **** Posted from RemarQ - http://www.remarq.com - Discussions Start Here (tm) ****

I totally agree. I like the road courses much better than the ovals as far as being fast is concerned. I can go quite fast at Loudon but i got more of a charge when i broke the 1:10 barrier at the Glen...or when i did my first sub 3:30 at Spa. However the ovals give me a chance to use my skill setting up a car better cause i have more experiance (real and virtual). This in no way flames the sites that have oval hotlaps. I love the idea cause it gives me a fighting chance to maybe be on the list. I also think the ovals provide more exciting racing. But thats IMHO. Chris
