AI in TOCA, TOCA2 & SCGT

3 posts by 3 people · 20 Apr 1999 - 21 Apr 1999

People, to check out the AI in these games, what i usually do is to start going backwards on the course. If you have not done this before, i suggest you do to see the difference between the AI's in these games. (Also, i have to admit it is really fun to knock them all out ) here is my question: In real life, if you go backwards in a race don't they black flag you? Since I still don't have my TOCA2 release, (I live in US) i can not verify this but the game doesn't mind in toca1 or toca2 demo. So any input or ideas from people who have the full version of toca2? Also, i don't have GPL or have ambition to race oldies (Sorry no offense, i realize it is a great game but it does not do it for me) Anyway, can you do the same (going backwards) in GPL, and if you can, what happens? -Can

In GPL you get black flagged but you can still go backwards. My kids go backwards all the time.

Speaking from experience in GPL you get blackflagged. In SCGT I have not done a race in the full version yet, but in practice they do try hard to avoid you.
