Ridge Racer Type 4 - What's it like?

Anyone got this? What's it like? Any good? Worth buying?

unlike pc games, you can rent playstation games. i highly recommend you do that, as the opinions seem split. i still think rage racer is one of the most fun racing games i've ever played....realistic? no. incredibly fun? yep. this game seems like a small step forward from rage racer......
