101 uses for a voodoo 1 3dfx card

7 posts by 7 people · 10 May 1999 - 11 May 1999

The documentation for my Orchird Righteous 3Dfx card said "we hope this card gives a lifetime of quality service" However, less than 12 months later, it looks like its coming out of the PC to be replaced by a Voodoo 3. A neccesity I'm sure you would all agree. If I haven't got the heart to chuck my 99 card straight in the bin, so ... what do I do with it? 1... Donate it to my work PC 2... Use as a beer mat 3... Frame for historic interest. 4... Use to

Sell it to a gullible friend for 50+ ! Just tell them it's 'Top of the range, state of the art'. That's what the shops would do... I take no responsibility for your actions...

You could give it to someone less fortunate than yourself. When I replaced my Pure 3D with a V2, I gave the V1 to my best friend along with an extra copy of F1RS. Now we race modem to modem... -don

Loan it to your brother that is too poor to upgrade his P200MMX :-) That's what I did. Jason.

I am just hoping for a 3d version of Novell NDS or Domino so I can put the old Voodoo 1's into my servers!
