As a previous post suggests Im tempted by the Voodoo3 3000 for a new
system, with either a Celery 466 or K6-2/3, but should I not forget the new
TNT2?
Toms Hardware reports that Nvidia Corp. has announced availability of
software drivers for the Riva TNT and TNT2 3D processors, specifically
optimised for AMD's K6-2 and K6-III CPUs. The new software boosts Nvidia's
3D graphics processors performance by up to 40 percent, as measured by
leading industry benchmarks and real-world games.
The new drivers are said to include enhancements that maximise AGP
performance in AMD systems.
So can I expect GPL to benefit dramatically with an AMD/TNT2-based set-up?

I would wait and see if the 1.1 patch has better open GL support, if it does
go with the TNT2
If it doesn't and playing GPL is of prime importance to you, get the V3.
Less hassles and at least you know it DEFINATLEY works!
I bought the TNT2 I love it, and it's great on all other games, just have to
wait for GPL to catch up.........SOON

I'm sure it won't have better support. Surely it would have been
mentioned in the recently announced patch readme.
I have 2 comp connect in network one with Voodoo3 3000 and one with Diamond
Viper 770 TNT2 , Especially GPL and most game i try have better frame rate
with Voodoo; visual apparence is +/- the same.
