Andre,
I have about the same fps numbers although I get 36 fps when I host
(56.6 modem, 4 players). I have the same system except with SB Live,
64MB RAM, and Canopus Pure 3DII with v2.5-1.30.02 glide driver. I just
assumed that I take a frame hit off-line due to the need to simulate all
the other drivers (19). I use 640x480 res, sounds heard slider at 5, all
mirror textures off, detail bias at 3/4, and non-essential textures like
clouds & tires turned off. I leave. At these settings the FF doesn't
seem to cause any problems. I can go up to 800x600 for off-line and
still get 36fps. I use alison's 84/3 core.ini with set clock=8 and
sync=0 for online.
Good luck!
P.S. A big THANKS to Papy and all the people who write utilities and
add-on's for GPL !
