On the other hand: It'll save you a lot of time to do other things. Maybe your problems aren't GPL related but more on how your PC is organized. Really I didn't have any problem getting this game installed and functioning properly ( the only thing which needed to be addressed was installing the "older" glide driver in the GPL directory to overrule the non-compatible 2.54 driver shipped with my Diamond VII - again not a real GPL problem). All the "whining" you read about in this newsgroup is to get the very best out of an (IMO) already superiour race-sim. Have to stop now, must buy an FF Wheel!! Jan.

>All the >"whining" you read about in this newsgroup is to get the very best out of an >(IMO) already superiour race-sim. Or, to put it another way, it's from simmers who spend countless hours trying unsuccessfully to hot-rod or cheat the soft- and hardware instead of working on their DRIVING. Excuse my bluntness; it's only an observation. But just count the threads here that are actually COMPUTER-related, rather than GPL-oriented. Personally, I enjoy preparing and racing much more than putzing with my computer and wondering what I loused up. Eric Ziegler
