Ok, now that you guys have got me hooked on the sims again...I'm
working on using NL over my LAN. Yet, my host computer (P3-450)
starts running like a dog when using only 2 nodes on a 10Mbps hub.
The NICs are 10/100 Linksys, and I've strapped them for 10meg,
unbinded all protocols except IP...and I still get lousy performance.
The latency is .03 seconds and there are no other programs running.
Connectivity between the 'puters is fine since I could ping, share
files, access the print server, etc. Also, I don't have any device
conflicts, and I moved the NIC to another slot (just in case...have
seen that one before).
I'll throw a sniffer on later to look for any weirdness on the LAN,
but me thinks the OS is having an issue w/ the NIC.
