I don't know if this is valid everywhere, but the CompUSA in Hurst,
Texas is unloading a pile of their "Formula Racing" wheels at just
$4.99. I grabbed two, one for the office, and one to gut for parts for
my Nascar Pro.
The wheel is similar to the Tm Grand Prix wheel. No pedals, just a gas
and brake "paddle" on the wheel and four buttons. No clamps either,
just four suction cups on the base and a hefty chunk of lead inside.
It looks very similar to TM in design, but uses a pair of stout
springs instead of the bungee cord. I'm tempted to try to adapt the
mechanism to my Nascar Pro if I can.
Anyway, it's no great wheel, but for five bucks it really doesn't have
to be...
