As you have seen by a couple of posts over the past few days, I am trying to
implement a dedicated discussion News server at 216.61.199.234. Now I have
had approximately 300 visits in two days, but I'm not sure if people are shy
and do not want to be the "first" to start posting messages or if this
service just isn't necessary. I personally have used RAS for a couple of
years, but don't like sifting through multiple threads trying to find
relevant messages to my topic at hand. This dedicated server currently
splits out three sim games (N3, DTR, and Legends) and will add more groups
as people request. I have posted a couple of questions regarding Painting
and dedicated race servers already, but no responses. We have had visits
pertinent to our online league, Bellstar Racing Series. I know this is
off-topic and I apologize, but I just want to get a "feel" as to whether or
not this server will be utilized. Right now we have two of our servers
dedicated in some form or fashion to sim-Racing. One server hosts
(DaleFanServ) hosts online races everyday in the unattended mode, while the
other server is implementing this newsgroup server.
Thanks for your time,
