***NEW*** GPL Engine Sounds

1 post by 1 person · 19 Dec 1999 - 19 Dec 1999

There is a brand new set of engine sounds for GPL available at Sounds For Sims. When I say brand new I mean brand new. These new sounds have more depth and realism than anything previous. Sample rate conversions were avoided during recording and pitch changing was kept to a minimum. They are articulate and portray the state of the rear wheels exceptionally well. They are achieved by not changing the pitch of the sounds, then changing the rev range in which the game plays them back. This means that you will need to use the entire engine set, as the old sounds will play back incorrectly, but you can test it by downloading only one sound if you wish. I think you will find them quite enjoyable. There are a total of fif*** F1 sounds to choose from at the site. There are two F2F3 sounds which are also necessary if you use the engine set. (More F2F3 sounds will be added very shortly.) [link lost in import: /~chaser/sounds/index.htm] Happy Holidays -- "GPL *is* the afterlife. So get in early and reserve a seat." mark
