I have just upgraded my system with a new sound card , modem and
updated logitec mouse drivers and have since had a problem with both N3 &
Legends. When you move the mouse the screen flickers badly and the
pointer leaves mouse tracks. The screen also flashes on the screen just
befor you enter the game on pit road. This happens when not moveing the
mouse. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

VooDoo3 2000 AGP
Sound Blaster Live MP3+ (new)
Modem Blaster DI5630 (new)
Logitech Marble-FX Driver Ver 8.62 (just upgraded)

You problem is that you have triple buffer "on" on your 3dfx card properties.
Uncheck it and you will not have these problems. I just found out myself.
IF you need to know where to fix this, right click on desktop screen and
slide down to propties and look at 3dfx screen for triple buffer box.

I have a Voodoo 3 2000 and have downloaded drivers dated Jan 25, 2000. I am
puzzled. I click on 3dfx teaks and see that the "Selection" radio button is
set to "Desktop" and that the "Force Triple Buffering" is greyed out. If I
select another radio button the "Force Triple Buffering" is alive. However, if
I leave the selection at "Direct 3D: or "Glide/OpenGL" or Video Overlay" and
exit when I return the selection is still "Desktop".
My question is - should I be selecting "Direct 3D: or "Glide/OpenGL" or Video
Overlay"? And - how do I get the selection to persist?
Thanks for any help you can give me.

therefore it will ALWAYS be the first tab shown. Don't worry, it's normal.
Select Glide and it will persist. Don't worry. Again, "direct" is
alphabetically before "glide" so the dropdown list will show it each time
you return to that tab.
