After the few things I have seen or read elsewhere I'm almost to afraid to ask, but here goes. What's the go with this ?sim? I hear it's buggy, pathetic physics, terrible online and doesn't seem to even have a cockpit view. I have always had my doubts about the whole project because of the RPG element. Most companies can't make a decent sim to start with without this extra element to integrate. All replies welcome. Sorry if I missed the initial ranting (if it was even worth ranting about) since I haven't been around for a while. Seeing not even 1 post about it here in the last few days was a bad sign to start with! :)

I wouldn't call it a sim, but it is a really fun arcade racer with excellent track and car choices. And it does have a cockpit view. I like it on the Xbox but I have not bothered to get the PC version. A very accurate description! Use an analog gamepad and you'll find that it's an ok sim to drive, even then it can be a bit nervous to steer but try with your standard PC wheel and forget it! I cant even install the PC version - the installer cant find the files on the CD. The CD is Ok though. Weird. Tech support gave me the crappest advice ever, run XP in 640*480 in 256 colours. As if. If anyone can help me...... Matt

Oh, and I concur with the other posters, it's not a sim, but I drove it for a week or so with the keyboard and it has it's moments, some great cars and some great tracks, gfx are good and physics model "believable" rather than accurate, if more than a little flattering to the driver :-) Beers and cheers (uncle) Goy "goyl at nettx dot no" http://www.theuspits.com "A man is only as old as the woman he feels........" --Groucho Marx--

I know that this might sound strange, but I had a similar problem with this game. I solved it by installing the latest Video card drivers. I went to all the trouble of getting it going, took it for a few laps, turned the graphics as far towards fast as I could, took it for a few more laps and gave it the Shift Delete. It is pathetic with the wheel. I agree with most of what has been said here about it. Darf
